Severn Trent Services Maintenance Technician I in Hialeah, Florida
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment.
Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks
Cleans and maintain tools and equipment.
Prepares rigs for daily use.
Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other equipment.
Performs routine lubrication of equipment and motors and replaces oil reserves.
Performs vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing methods
Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion
Properly secures loads for lifting with crane
Preparation of pipe and fabricated supports
Crane, backhoe or forklift operations
Maintenance requiring metal cutting (oxygen/acetylene) such as welding, brazing, and soldering
Cleans shop area as assigned
Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Ability to write simple correspondences
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Willing to learn and help
Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable
Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Crane, backhoe or forklift operator,Rigging and Metal Cutting (PREFERRED)
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds
Able to climb ladders and stairways
Able to pass fit-test for Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
Must be able to access confined spaces
