Severn Trent Services Activities Coordinator in Katy, Texas


The Activities Director for Parks and Recreation is responsible for planning and organizing social events for the community.


Assumes responsibility for insuring the efficient and effective operation of the department by:

  1. Establishes an annual calendar which identifies all social events.

  2. Ensures all events are posted on bulletin boards.

  3. Oversees each event and makes sure that all funds are collected all necessary resources and services are scheduled for each event.

  • Opens and closes the recreational center for each event.

  • Hires vendors and/or recruits resident volunteers to execute community events and activities.

  • Develop and maintain event and activity budget.

  • Prepare and post a profit and loss statement for each activity and provide monthly financial report to Board of Supervisors.

  • Provide and post information to newsletter, bulletin board and web site for all activities for the month.

  • Plan, organize and edit the community resident calendar.

  • Interaction with residents at Monday Morning Coffee Social.

  • Assist volunteer newsletter staff in preparation of newsletter.

  • As needed prepare and present new resident orientations and welcome packets.

  • Perform other routine office procedures to include: answer telephone inquiries, mail, copy documents, and file maintenance, inventory control of office supplies and kitchen supplies.

  • Administer rental program for CDD facilities. Keep accurate record of rental income and remit funds and report to details in a timely manner to Management Company.

  • Other Tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.
